Recently, there has been quite an uproar on how cryptocurrencies are ruining the environment. Particularly, Ethereum has been under assault, as it’s one of the most environmentally unfriendly cryptocurrencies.
Sadly, Ethereum is the one used most prominently for NFTs, and we are selling our assets as NFTs to fund our game development.
WE ARE ALL RESPONSIBLE!
Admittedly, our carbon footprint from the NFTs is rather small, compared to most other industries. However, there’s no escaping it. We have to own up to it and do something to alleviate the damage we inflict upon Mother Nature.
Here’s how we do this:
- We calculate our carbon footprint exactly, using a free and reliable online service called https://carbon.fyi/ – This is a rather public process, and you can check our claim. Just visit the service and enter our public Ethereum wallet address: 0xBA6d2B7a25a8BaB0106dE44614F0271b5B912Ca9 – We have absolutely nothing to hide.
- Every metric tonne of carbon footprint requires us to plant 5 trees to cover our carbon debt. (Source: https://treesforlife.org.au/tfl-carbon)
- We use another online service to plant the appropriate amount of trees to pay for our debt to nature: https://onetreeplanted.org/ – If you’d like to see our proof of planting, you need just write us, and we’ll provide the certificates.
You may rest easy when buying our NFTs, that your purchase deals no damage on our planet. So why wait? Just go ahead and grab your own planet, and help us make our game a reality – and put your name into the Core Game Material. Chance of a lifetime here, mate. Go, grab!
